What is the schools group?
The Schools group is made up of educators from around Central Kentucky dedicated to promoting rain gardens on school grounds as functional storm water management practices and educational tools.

The grant application is due back by August 29, 2008 and the recipient will be announced on September 19, 2008. Final decisions will be based on points awarded for each question. Please note that $500 will not cover the entire cost of the garden, so you will have to determine other sources of funding for the project.

The Bluegrass Rain Garden Alliance is pleased to announce that we are offering a $500 grant to help a school in Central Kentucky build their own demonstration rain garden! Elligible counties include Franklin, Scott, Harrison, Nicholas, Bourbon, Clark, Montgomery, Fayette, Clark,Powell, Estill, Madison, Jessamine, Garrard, Lincoln, Boyle, Mercer, Woodford, and Anderson.
